Sithanda isiXhosa is a series of textbooks for learners in Grades 2, 3 or 4 who are learning Xhosa as a third language for the first time. The book is full of fun activities in which the characters Vuyo and Lara introduce learners to the language. The book has numerous pictures of Vuyo and Lara and the things they talk about. This strong visual approach helps learners to make quick progress in the language.

The authors are lecturers in the faculty of Education at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Their experience of teaching Xhosa as a third language at primary, secondary and tertiary level is brought together in this series.
